CYBERSHADEZ 2026: A National Showcase of Agentic AI Talent
February
13, 2026: GLS University hosted CYBERSHADEZ 2026, a national-level
techfest centered on the theme “Agentic AI,” bringing together students,
academicians, and industry experts to promote innovation and awareness
of emerging technologies.
Organized
jointly by the Faculty of Computer Applications & Information
Technology (FCAIT) and the Faculty of Engineering & Technology
(FET), the two-day event aimed to nurture student innovation and
strengthen industry–academia collaboration among young technologists.
The
event reflected the visionary leadership and continued encouragement of
Shri Sudhir Nanavati, President - GLSU, whose guidance and commitment
consistently inspire institutional growth and academic excellence. It
also highlighted the dedicated support and constant motivation of Dr.
Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director, whose efforts play a vital role in
fostering student development and nurturing a progressive learning
environment.
The inaugural ceremony was
graced by Provost GLS Univeristy, Dr. Dharmesh Shah and Chief Guest Ms.
Namrata Somani, Regional Head–Ahmedabad at Tata Consultancy Services,
along with senior officials, faculty members, and a large number of
students.
Delivering the welcome
address, Dr. Rakesh Vanzara, Dean of FET, highlighted the importance of
national techfests in fostering innovation, interdisciplinary learning,
and industry readiness. A program overview was presented by Dr. Harshal
A. Arolkar, Professor and Head of FCAIT-PG, who outlined the vision,
theme, and technical activities planned for the fest.
In
his address, Dr. Dharmesh Shah emphasized the university’s commitment
to advancing fields such as Artificial Intelligence and Agentic AI
through academic initiatives, research, and student-focused events,
noting that such platforms help bridge the gap between academia and
industry.
Ms. Somani, in her keynote,
spoke about the real-world applications and transformative potential of
Agentic AI across industries. She encouraged students to build strong
problem-solving abilities and to adopt responsible AI practices for
meaningful technological impact.
The
inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Tripti Dodiya,
Dean of the FCAIT-UG Programme, who acknowledged the contributions of
dignitaries, organizers, faculty, students, and industry partners.
CYBERSHADEZ
2026 featured over 20 technical events, workshops, and
innovation-driven competitions. The fest drew participation from more
than 1,000 students representing over 45 institutes and 26 universities
nationwide. The university management also announced cash prizes
exceeding ₹1 lakh for winners across events.
