Faculty of Computer Applications and Information Technology (FCAIT) has organized an informative and practical DevOps on 27-February, 2026. The resource person was Gautam Dutta, Technical Team & Manan Majithia ,Technical Team - at Techify Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The session aimed to provide hands-on exposure to modern DevOps practices that are widely used in the software industry. The session began with an introduction to DevOps and its importance in bridging the gap between development and operations teams.
The trainers highlighted the core principles of DevOps such as automation, monitoring, continuous feedback, and faster deployment cycles. Students were introduced to the concept of CI/CD pipelines and how they help in reducing manual errors while increasing efficiency. The workshop was organized for imparting knowledge to students regarding DevOps Engineer skilled in building scalable, reliable, and highly available infrastructure. Hands-on experience to students was given with DevOps practices including Building and deployment using various technology like Docker, Jenkins. A major part of the workshop focused on Building and deployment using various technology like Docker, Jenkins, and other automation tools. The speaker demonstrated how Docker is used to create containers for applications.
Overall, the workshop was highly beneficial and provided valuable exposure to DevOps practices including automation, Building and deployment using various technology like Docker, Jenkins. It helped students understand how modern software projects are managed and deployed efficiently. The session concluded with guidance on career opportunities in DevOps and the skills required to become a successful DevOps engineer. The workshop was informative, engaging, and enriched our understanding of industry-level development and deployment processes. More than 130 students have attended the workshop.
